Padma Shri awardee Rani Rampal won World Games Athlete Award for 2019


  • Indian women's hockey team captain Rani Rampal (age 25 years) has become the first-ever hockey player to win the prestigious World Games Athlete of the Year award 2019.
  • At the age of 15, Rani was the youngest player in the national team which participated in the 2010 World Cup.
  • List of Awards She was Received:
    i) Best Young Player of the Tournament award at the Women's Hockey World Cup 2010,
    ii) Arjuna award in 2016,
    iii) Padma Shri in 2020.
