Martyrs' Day is celebrated on 30th January & 23rd March across the country


  • Every year on 30th January and 23rd March Martyrs' Day is celebrated across the country to pay the tribute to the victims who fought for the freedom of India.
  • On 30th January 1948, Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated in the garden of Birla House (now Gandhi Smriti), New Delhi.
  • And, On 23rd March 1931, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev were hanged by the British.
