Calcutta University awarded Abhijit Banerjee with D Litt Degree

The University of Calcutta awarded Indian economist Abhijit Vinayak Banerjee (age 58 years) with D Litt Degree at its Annual Convocation on 29th January 2020.
In 2019, Abhijit Banerjee was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics along with his two co-researchers Esther Duflo & Michael Kremer "For Their Experimental Approach To Alleviating Global Poverty".
