- On 15th January 2020, The India Meteorological Department (IMD) celebrated its 145th Foundation Day.
- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) is a Central Government agency, which comes under the control of the Ministry of Earth Sciences. It is responsible for meteorological observations, weather forecasting, and seismology.
