Author Jasbinder Bilan won UK Children’s Book Award for her novel

Indian-born author Jasbinder Bilan won the UK Children’s Book Award for her novel 'Asha and the Spirit Bird'.
This novel was inspired by her grandmother, who provided her with a rich treasure box, part memory, part imagination, in which she drew her inspiration.
Her novel has been published by Scholastic Incorporated, 2020.
