- The 14th Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the 107th edition of the Indian Science Congress (ISC) at the Bengaluru Agricultural Sciences University.
- Speaking on the occasion, he said that New India needs technology and a logical temperament to invent and disseminate technological solutions.
- The theme of this event is "Science and Technology: Rural Development".
- Besides, PM Modi also launched the Indian Science Technology and Engineering facilities Map (I-STEM) Portal.
