- The Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Minister of Rural Development Shri Narendra Tomar (age 62 years) has inaugurated the 11th edition of National Krishi Vigyan Kendra Conference 2020 in New Delhi.
- The conference has organized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and based on the 'Empowering Youth for Technology Led Farming'.
- Speaking on the occasion, He said that the KVKs have a great responsibility by taking the fruition of the laboratories to the field. The KVKs should serve not only the affluent, resourceful and Progressive farmers but also focus on the small and deprived farmers.
