  • In Japan, the World’s oldest man Chitetsu Watanabe passed away. He was 112. He was born on 5th March 1907.
  • Before his death, the Guinness World Records recognized him as the World’s oldest man at 112 years and 344 days old.
  • The Guinness Book of World Records is a reference book published annually, listing world records both human achievements and the extremes of the natural world.
  • The book was founded by Norris & Ross McWhirter (brothers) in August 1954 in London.
