World NGO Day observed on 27th February every year

Every year on 27th February World NGO Day is observed throughout the globe. The main objective of this day is to raise awareness about the Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) activities and her contribution to Society.
This day was established by the philanthropist Mārcis Liors Skadmanis on 27th February 2009. And, it was declared by the 12 member countries on 17th April 2010.
And after that, it was the first time marked by the United Nations, EU leaders, and international organizations on 27th February 2014.
