- PM Narendra Modi launched the first-ever Khelo India University Games at Cuttack in Odisha via Video Conferencing.
- In this Games, Around 3,400 Athletes from 159 Universities from different parts of the country will be participating.
- Indian Olympic athlete Dutee Chand, who is a student of KIIT, the host university, also a part of the event.
- Besides Dutee, there are other talented athletes like Jay Shah, Narendra Pratap Singh, Komal Jagadale, and Acharya Nagarjuna, who can lift the quality of the competition in track and field sport.
