- The 3rd edition of the Chitra Bharati Film Festival began at Gujarat University in Ahmedabad. The 3-day long festival inaugurated by Vijay Rupani (Gujarat CM) and filmmaker Subhash Ghai.
- Around 140 films falling under four categories (Short Film, Documentary, Animation, and Campus Film) are to be screened at the festival.
