In Ladakh, Two New Bird Species Found


  • In Ladakh UT, the 2-new Bird Species have been found during the Great Backyard Bird count. And, this exercise (3-day) is undertaken by the Wildlife Conservation and Birds Club of Ladakh.
  • It is the first time that Red-Throated Thrush & Plumbeous Water Redstart has been found in Ladakh Region. While Common Rose Finch & Grey Haron species have arrived in Ladakh region early than usual.
  • A 3-group Birders and Wildlife experts have counted and recorded a total of 87 various species of birds in Ladakh.
