- The Indian Aerospace company Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has received initial clearance from DRDO for manufacturing the Light Utility Helicopter (LUH) for the Indian Army and Indian Air Force (IAF).
- The above announcement was made on the ongoing 11th DefExpo 2020 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. It will replace the Cheetah and Chetak helicopters.
- The Chairman and Managing Director of HAL are R. Madhavan.
