- The 2021 World Economic Forum (WEF) will be held in Singapore from 13rd to 16th May 2021. Prior to this, it was scheduled at Lucerne-Burgenstock in Switzerland.
- This will be the 2nd time since its inception in 1971 that the forum will be held outside Switzerland. (It was held in New York in 2002).

- Its mission is stated as "Committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional, and industry agendas".
