Govt announced the 2020 National Sports Awards

The Central Government has announced the Complete List of the 2020 National Sports Awards. The Award is conferred on sportspersons for spectacular and most outstanding performance in the field of sports for the past four years. The winners will receive their awards from President R. N. Kovind on 29th August 2020.

  1. Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award - The winners of this award are Rohit Sharma (Cricketer), Mariyappan Thangavelu (Para-Athlete), Manika Batra (Table Tennis), Vinesh Phogat (Wrestler) and Rani Rampal (Hockey).
  2. Arjuna Award - The winners of this award are Atanu Das (Archer), Dutee Chand (Athlete), Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy & Chirag C Shetty (Shuttlers), Vishesh Bhriguvanshi (Basketball), Subedar Manish Kaushik & Lovlina Borgohain (Boxer), Ishant Sharma & Deepti Sharma (Cricketer), Sawant Ajay Anant (Equestrian), Sandesh Jhingan (Footballer), Aditi Ashok (Golfer), Akashdeep Singh & Deepika (Hockey), Deepak (Kabaddi), Kale Sarika Sudhakar (Kho Kho), Dattu Baban Bhokanal (Rower), Manu Bhaker & Saurabh Chaudhary (Shooter), Madhurika Suhas Patkar (Table Tennis), Divij Sharan (Tennis), Shiva Keshavan (Winter Sports), Divya Kakran & Rahul Aware (Wrestler), Suyash Narayan Jadhav (Para Swimmer), Sandeep (Para Athlete), Manish Narwal (Para Shooter).
  3. Dronacharya Award (Life-Time Category) - The winners of this award are Dharmendra Tiwary (Archery), Purushotham Rai (Athletic), Shiv Singh (Boxing), Romesh Pathania (Hockey), Krishan Kumar Hooda (Kabaddi), Vijay Bhalchandra Munishwar (Para Powerlifting), Naresh Kumar (Tennis), Om Parkash Dahiya (Wrestling).
  4. Dronacharya Award (Regular Category) - The winners of this award are Jude Felix Sebastian (Hockey), Yogesh Malviya (Mallakhamb), Jaspal Rana (Shooting), Kuldeep Kumar Handoo (Wushu), Gaurav Khanna (Para-Badminton).
