- Mr. Suresh N. Patel has sworn in as the new Vigilance Commissioner. The Central Vigilance Commissioner Sanjay Kothari administered him the oath of office and Secrecy at New Delhi through Video Conferencing.
- Prior to taking up this assignment, He was the MD & CEO of Andhra Bank and was an Executive Director in the Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC). Besides, he has over 30 years of experience in the banking sector.
- In spite of that, He had been also Member of the Management Committee of Indian Banks Association and Bankers Institute of Rural Development, NABARD; President, State Level Bankers Committee, Andhra Pradesh, and President, Bankers Institute of Rural & Entrepreneurship Development.
