- The new book of Uma Balasubramaniam 'Sayajirao Gaekwad III: The Maharaja of Baroda' has been released. It is the historical epic biography book, which is based on the life of Sayajirao Gaekwad III, who was the Maharaja of Baroda State from 1875 to 1939.
- The objective to write this book to enlighten people about one of India's forgotten kings, who worked towards building a modernized India and India's fight for freedom.

Sayajirao was born on 11th March 1863 in a Maratha Family in the Kavlana Village in Malegaon taluka of Nashik district. He was the 2nd son of Kashirao Bhikajirao Dada Sahib Gaekwad and Ummabai. He belonged to the royal Gaekwad dynasty of the Marathas which ruled parts of present-day Gujarat.
