5th Annual Meeting of Board of Governors of NDB

The 5th Annual Meeting of Board of Governors of the New Development Bank (NDB) has been started. And, from India side Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman attended the meeting through video-conferencing.
On the occasion, She also strongly encouraged NDB to take appropriate actions to join the G-20 forum along with other Multilateral Development Bank (MDBs)/ International Financial Institutions (IFIs).
New Development Bank (NDB),
The New Development Bank (NDB) was established in 2014 by the BRICS nations. The main objective to set up this Bank is to mobilize resources for infrastructure and sustainable development projects in BRICS and other emerging market economies. Till now, NDB has approved 14 projects of India for an amount of $ 4,183 million.
