Gene Deitch - American film-director passed away at 95

American film-director Gene Deitch passed away at Prague on 16th April 2020 at the age of 95 years. He was also known for creating popular animated cartoons like Munro, Tom Terrific, and Nudnik. Besides, he had also directed the Popeye and Tom & Jerry cartoon series.
In spite of that, Gene Deitch was won the Academy Award in the Best Animated Short Film category in 1960 for Munro movie. And, he was also nominated for the Best Animated Short Film in two times in 1964 for 'Here’s Nudnik' and 'How to Avoid Friendship'.
