The team of researchers of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar, Punjab has developed the 'WardBot'. The objective of WardBot is to deliver food and medicine to COVID-19 infected patients in their isolation wards.
WardBot, - WardBot is fitted with sensors that can work on a known path and it will be enabled to deliver food and medicine at different beds to patients in the ward. Besides, it has a feature of the Self-sanitising on the return path. And, it can be used for sanitizing the walls. - The WardBot includes 12-shelves. And, it carrying capacity of 4-5 kg items to 10 to 12 patients at a time.
