- HRD Ministry has taken several initiatives to ensure that the education of learners should not get affected due to the Coronavirus outbreak. In another step, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has telecast the Live sessions through Skype on Swayam Prabha (#27), Sharda (#28), and Kishore Manch DTH Channel (#31).
- Objective,
The objective of this program is to provide quality education, self-learning material through the 'SWAYAM’ MOOC platform from 9th to 12th class.
- Highlights,
- The students can watch the lesson on the above DTH Channels and YouTube channel of NIOS. Learners can watch these programs in two sessions - Morning (7 A.M to 1 P.M) & Evening (1 P.M to 7 P.M).
- Learners can watch the recorded broadcast with four different subject experts.
- Besides, Learners can also ask queries from the experts through the live telecast on the NIOS YouTube channel.
- Students can easily see these channels on Tata Sky, Airtel Digital TV, and other DTH operators, besides DD-DTH & Jio TV app.
- The channel number of Swayam Prabha, Sharda, Kishore Manch in different DTH service providers are as follows:
i) In Airtel Digital TV: #437, #438, and #439.
ii) In Videocon TV: #475, #476, #477.
iii) In Tata Sky: #756 which pops up a window for Swayamprabha DTH channels.
iv) In Dish TV: #946, #947, #949, #950.
