- On 9th April 2020, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has celebrated its 55th Valour Day (Shaurya Diwas) with full of joy and gaiety.
- On this day, the whole country commemorates the braveness of those soldiers, who fought in the India-Pakistan War of 1965 at the Sardar Post located in Ran (Kutch) of Gujarat state.
- About CRPF,
- CRPF is the largest Central Armed Police Force of India, which comes under the control of Home Ministry headed by Amit Shah. It was founded on 27th July 1939.
- Its motto is "सेवा और निष्ठा" Service and Loyalty.
- At present, the Director-General (DG) of CRPF is A P Maheshwari.
