- Renowned Malayalam film and theatre composer M. K. Arjunan has passed away died at his home on 6th April 2020 in Kochi, Kerala. He was 84 years.
- As a composer, Arjunan Master has scored music for more than 500 songs in over 218 Malayalam films. In the film industry, he was popularly known as 'The Master of Melodies'.

i) In 2017 awarded the 48th Kerala State Film Awards for Kerala State Film Award for Best Music Director for Bhayanakam film.
ii) In 2018 honored with Kerala Film Critics Association Awards (Chalachitra Rathna award).
iii) In 2018 awarded the Lifetime achievement at the Mazhavil Mango Music Awards.
iv) And, In 2019 awarded the Thudi cultural forum K Raghavan puraskaram.
