- The COVID-19 Emergency Fund 'Operation Sanjeevani' has launched today in India. Under this Operation, India has supplied 6.2 tonnes of essential medicines to the Maldives as assistance in the fight against COVID 19 outbreak.
- India has delivered the medicines including influenza vaccines, anti-viral drugs such as lopinavir and ritonavir through Hercules Aircraft of Indian Air Force (IAF).
In spite of that, India has also supplied essential food grains and edibles despite logistical challenges in the wake of lockdown.
