NHA signed MoU with Uber to provide free transportation for healthcare workers


  • To fight with Coronavirus (COVID-19), the National Health Authority (NHA) signed an MoU with the Uber Ride-sharing company to provides free transportation service to healthcare workers.
  • Under this Agreement,
    - Uber will provide 150 Cars free of cost, through its UberMedic service to support healthcare workers in certain cities, namely New Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, and Patna.
  • Uber,
    - Uber is an American multinational ride-hailing company that was founded in March 2009 by Garrett Camp, and Travis Kalanick. Its headquarters is in San Francisco, California (US).

    - Uber offers services that include peer-to-peer ridesharing, ride service hailing, food delivery (Uber Eats), and a micro-mobility system with electric bikes and scooters.
