Rajnesh Oswal sworn-in as permanent Judge of J&K High Court


  • Justice Rajnesh Oswal sworn-in as a permanent Judge of the common High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Justice Gita Mittal administered him the oath of office and Secrecy at Rajbhavan, Jammu (J&K).
  • Rajnesh Oswal is the first Judge of the High Court to take oath under the Indian Constitution. Before that, all the Judges of the J&K High Court had taken oath under the Jammu and Kashmir constitution, which ceased to have an effect since 5th August 2019.
  • With this appointment, the strength of Justices of J&K High Court increased from 8 to 9.
