- Each year on 2nd April World Autism Awareness Day is celebrated throughout the globe. Its objective is to recognize and celebrate the rights of persons with autism.
- The 2020 World Autism Awareness Day theme is 'The Transition to Adulthood'.
- It was designated by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) resolution "62/139. World Autism Awareness Day", passed in council on 1st November 2007, and was adopted on 18th December 2007.
