World Rabies Day observed on 28th September every year

The World Rabies Day is celebrated annually on 28th September around the world to raise awareness about rabies prevention and to highlight progress in defeating this horrifying disease.
The theme for this year is 'Rabies: Share the message. Save a life'.
The day provides a platform to improve awareness, engage communities and help endemic countries in building successful and sustainable rabies programs.
The day also marks the death anniversary of French biologist 'Louis Pasteur', who developed the Rabies & Anthrax vaccine.
