- The Indian Air Force has recently unveiled a resurfaced Advance Landing Ground (ALG) at Vijaynagar, Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh.
- Its main objective is to enable operations by military transport aircraft at the base near the China border.
- Vijaynagar Advance Landing Ground inaugurated by Eastern Army Commander Lt. General Anil Chauhan and Eastern Air Commander Air Marshal R. D. Mathur.
- IAF has made 8-Advanced Landing Grounds (Vijaynagar, Ziro, Aalo, Pasighat, Tawang, Mechuka, Walong, and Tuting) till date with a cost of Rs 720 crores.
