  • PM Modi led Union government has appointed the 4 new Supreme Court Judges. With this, the total strength of the Supreme Court Judges has increased from 31 to 34.
  • List of 4 new Supreme Court Judges
    1. HP High Court Judge - Justice V. Ramasubramanian,
    2. Punjab and Haryana High Court Judge - Justice Krishna Murari,
    3. Rajasthan High Court Judge - Justice S. Ravindra Bhat,
    4. Kerala High Court Judge - Justice Hrishikesh Roy.
  • The 46th Chief Justice of India- Ranjan Gogoi (age 64 years) administered the oath of Office and Secrecy to new Supreme Court Judges.
