Rakesh Bhadauria takes charge as next Chief of Indian Air Force

Union Government appointed Air Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria as the next Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force.
Prior to taking up this assignment, Rakesh Bhadauria served as Vice Chief of the Indian Air Force from 1st May 2019 after superannuation of Air Marshal Anil Khosla.
RKS Bhadauria replaced Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa (age 62 years), who is retiring on 30th September 2019.
During 36 years of his career, RKS Bhadauria is honored with several medals:-
i) In January 2013, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM)
ii) In Jan 2002, Vayu Sena Medal (VSM),
iii) In Jan 2018, Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM).
In spite of that, In Jan 2019, he was appointed honorary Aide De Campe to the 14th President of India (Ram Nath Kovind).
