- The Hindi Divas is being celebrated nationwide on 14th September every year to commemorate the Hindi language.
- On 14th September 1949, The Constituent Assembly of India had adopted Hindi written in Devanagari script as the official language of the country.
- On the occasion, 14th President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind presented the annual Rajbhasa Awards for the Year 2016-17.
- In another event, the International Hindi Conference (IHC) was also organized by World Hindi Council (WHC) in New Delhi.
