India & Nepal PM jointly inaugurated Motihari-Amlekhganj oil pipeline


  • PM Modi and Nepal Prime Minister- K. P. Sharma Oli jointly inaugurated South Asia’s first cross-border petroleum products pipeline from Motihari in India to Amlekhgunj in Nepal through video conference.
  • Speaking on the occasion, PM Narendra Modi said that the 69 km long Motihari-Amlekhgunj pipeline, having a capacity of 2 million metric ton per year.
  • The cost of Motihari-Amlekhganj oil pipeline is around Rs 350 crore, which will be entirely borne by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).
