- The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) appointed Dr. Bala Bhaskar as the next Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Norway.
- Bhaskar (IFS: 1993 batch cadre officer) will replace Krishan Kumar, who is heading the Indian mission in Norway since July 2018.
