Mithali Raj takes retirement from T-20 matches


  • Former Indian women's cricket team captain Mithali Raj (age 36 years) announced her retirement from T20 Internationals matches.
  • Raj said that she wants to focus on her ODI career, keeping in mind the 2021 World Cup, which is held at New Zealand.
  • During his T-20 cricket career, Mithali scored 2,364 runs in 89 matches at an average of 37.5 and the highest score of 97 not out.
  • She played her first T20 match in 1999 and the last match played in March against England held in Guwahati.
  • In ODIs matches, She scored 6,720 runs in 203 matches at an average of 51.29, including 7-hundreds.
