State Bank of India to launch a RuPay credit card


  • Indian largest public sector bank- SBI will soon launch RuPay credit cards, which will give a boost to the homegrown payment network in the fast-growing segment.
  • RuPay card scheme was conceived and launched by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on 26th March 2012.
  • As of now, RuPay cards are accepted only in a few countries, including Singapore and Bhutan. PM Modi was launched the RuPay card in UAE.
