- In an official statement, International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that the 13th edition of the ICC Under-19 World Cup will be held in South Africa from 17th January to 9th February 2020.
- This is the second time that South Africa will host this tournament. In 1998, South Africa had hosted the 2nd edition of the ICC Under-19 World Cup.
- The 16 teams of different countries will be participating in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2020.
