- The 14th President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind (age 74 years) has unveiled Golden Jubilee celebrations of Vishwa Shanti Stupa in Rajgir, Nalanda (Bihar).
- Speaking on the occasion, President said that the message of peace, unity, and non-violence of Shanti stupa resonates with the spiritual message of Lord Buddha.
- Vishwa Shanti Stupa is a large stupa of white color, situated on Ratnagiri hillock, constructed by the Japanese Buddhist monk popularly known as Fujii Guruji in 1969.
- The Vishwa Shanti Stupa has completed 50 years of its establishment.
