Praveen Kumar wins Gold at Wushu World Championships

Praveen Kumar became the first Indian to won a Gold medal at Wushu World Championships. The tournament was held in Shanghai, China.
In finals, Praveen defeated Russel Diaz (Philippines) by 2-1 in the 48kg category to won the title.
In other categories, Poonam (75kg category) and Sanathoi Devi (52kg category) bags the Silver medals while Vikrant Baliyan (60kg category) won the Bronze medal.
The World Wushu Championships (WWC) are held every 2-years and are organized by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF).
