- The Ministry of Information Technology & Communications has released the Latest version of BHIM 2.0 with new additional features and functionalities.
- The new features of BHIM 2.0 are- Transaction limit, Adding multiple bank accounts, Offerings from shopkeepers, the option of applying for an IPO, gifting money, etc.
- The BHIM app is already available in 13 different languages. But, now the latest version supports three additional languages-- Konkani, Bhojpuri, and Haryanvi (earlier, 13 languages).
About BHIM
i) Full-Form - Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM),
ii) Named after B. R. Ambedkar,
iii) Developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI),
iv) It is based on the Unified Payments Interface (UPI),
v) Launched on 30th December 2016.
