- The PM Modi led Central Government has announced that the World's Highest Battlefield 'Siachen Glacier' now open for tourists & tourism. The entire area from Siachen Base Camp to Kumar Post now open for tourists.
- The Siachen Glacier is a glacier located in the eastern Karakoram range in the Himalayas (around 20,000 feet), where the Line of Control between India and Pakistan ends.
