Former cricketer Sourav Ganguly appointed as President of BCCI


  • Former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly (age 47 years) filed his nomination for the post of BCCI President at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
  • The elections of BCCI President were scheduled to be held on 23rd October 2019, but Sourav Ganguly is the only candidate to filled his nomination for the BCCI President post, he is set to be elected unopposed.
  • Prior to this, Sourav Ganguly is the President of the Bengal Cricket Association. In 2008, he had announced his retirement from international cricket.
