11th October: International Day of the Girl Child

The International Day of the Girl Child (IDGC) is observed on 11th October around the globe every year.
The theme of this year is 'With Her: A Skilled Girl Force'.
The main objective of this day is to promote Girl's empowerment and Fulfillment of their Human Rights while also highlighting the challenges that girls all over the world face.
