IAF received first Rafale fighter jet out of 36 from France


  • Defence Minister Rajnath Singh (age 68 years) received the first Rafale fighter jet out of 36 from France on behalf of the Indian Air Force.
  • Speaking on the occasion, Defence Minister said the first batch of 4 Rafale fighter jet is expected to be reached to India by May 2020.
  • India had signed an agreement with France for the procurement of 36 Rafale jets at a cost of Rs 59,000 crore in September 2016.
