- Justice Lingappa Narayana Swamy (age 60 years) has been appointed as the 25th Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
- Prior to taking up this assignment, Justice L. N. Swamy served as the Acting Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court from 18th January to 9th May 2019.
- The Governor of Himachal Pradesh Bandaru Dattatreya (age 72 years) administered him the oath of office and Secrecy at Rajbhavan, Shimla.
