- Punjab National Bank (PNB) appointed SS Mallikarjuna Rao as its new Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) up to 18th September 2021.
- Prior to this, Mr. Rao is the Chief Executive Officer of Allahabad Bank, which is going to be merged with the Indian Bank.
- He replaced Sunil Mehta, which is currently under a process of three-way amalgamation with OBC and UBI.
