Former Chief Minister Kailash Chandra Joshi died in Bhopal


  • The 9th Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kailash Chandra Joshi died due to a prolonged illness at a private hospital in Bhopal. He was 91 years.
  • Mr. K. C. Joshi, who was called as the 'saint of politics', served as the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister from 1977 to 1978.
  • Besides, He was MLA for 8-terms from 1967 to 1998 from bagli constituency and also served as a member of both the Rajya Sabha (2000-2004) and the Lok Sabha (2004-2014) from Bhopla constituency.
