- Noted broadcaster Sir David Attenborough (age 93 years) will be honored with Indira Gandhi Peace, Disarmament, and Development Prize for 2019.
- His name was announced by the Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust and selected by an international jury chaired by Pranab Mukherjee (13th President of India).
- The award is given every year by Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust to individuals or organizations in recognition of creative efforts toward promoting international peace, development, etc.
- It was first awarded in 1986. The prize carries a cash award of Rs 25,00,000 and a citation.
