Sir David Attenborough honored with 2019 Indira Gandhi Peace Prize

Noted broadcaster Sir David Attenborough (age 93 years) will be honored with Indira Gandhi Peace, Disarmament, and Development Prize for 2019.
His name was announced by the Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust and selected by an international jury chaired by Pranab Mukherjee (13th President of India).
The award is given every year by Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust to individuals or organizations in recognition of creative efforts toward promoting international peace, development, etc.
It was first awarded in 1986. The prize carries a cash award of Rs 25,00,000 and a citation.
