Amreshwar Pratap Sahi appointed as new Chief Justice of Madras High Court

Amreshwar Pratap Sahi (age 60 years) appointed as the new Chief Justice of the Madras High Court. He replaced Vijaya Tahilramani who had resigned from his post.
Banwarilal Purohit- Governor of Tamil Nadu administered him the oath of office and Secrecy at Rajbhavan, Madras.
Prior to taking up this assignment, A. P. Sahi was the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court.
