- The National Education Day is celebrated every year on 11th November across the nation to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
i) From 1947-1958, he served as the first Education Minister of India.
ii) In 1992, he was awarded the Bharat Ratna (highest civilian award).
- On the occasion, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank (HRD Ministry) launched SWAYAM 2.0 to provide the best teaching-learning resources to all.
